Edgemoor Neighborhood Association Hospitality Committee Charter

Purpose

1. To provide new neighbors within the boundaries of the ENA with a warm welcome, information and assistance to help them better assimilate into the area. This may include:

· bringing a plate of treats

· provide neighborhood information (Bayside pool, Fairhaven Park, website address, schools, greenspace)

2. To organize and implement at least two neighborhood events to develop a sense of community within the neighborhood.

· Summer picnic at Fairhaven Park in mid-July. Using the picnic shelter, ENA will provide organization and publicity. This will be a pot-luck and games event.

· Winter caroling in December. Small groups from areas within the neighborhood will organize caroling events to spread holiday cheer.

3. To act as a focal point for assistance which may be needed by members of the community, in the event of untimely health or emergency related issues.

Timeline: This committee will be organized in January, 2005, and terminate December 31, 2005.

Budget: This committee will require no budget. All labor will be volunteer and items will be donated.
