Minutes

Minutes from the October minutes were approved.

Reports of Officers

President's Report:

The second meeting for the Post Point Wastewater Treatment Plant would be tonight at Fairhaven Middle School to summarize community input and present specific project requirements.  Since John Erickson attended the initial meeting, he highlighted some of the important points from that meeting. The present plant would reach capacity by 2013, with additional planning the plant should meet the growth needs for the next 20 years.

MNAC Report:

Brad attended his last MNAC meeting as our ENA representative.  He reported the Mayor was in attendance for a brief Q&A session. The mayor stated Commissions were being looked at for cuts due to the present budget challenges and the final budget would be adopted on Dec. 14th.

Susan Sloan from the County Health Dept. talked about the HINI swine flu vaccine.  The department’s website lists community clinics, priority groups to receive the vaccine, and answers many frequently asked questions.  There was also a call center for immunizations mentioned – for more information go to the Health Department website.

Marilyn Vogl discussed a more straightforward docketing process for amendments and changes to neighborhood comprehensive plans.  Although the planning dept. and commissions could make recommendations all docketing would now go through City Council.

The meeting ended with a neighborhood roundtable mentioning signs, firework safety and such neighborhood points of interest.

Treasurer's Report:

Edgemoor Neighborhood Association was reimbursed $245.53 by the city for association expenses.

Income - $245.53

Disbursements - 0

Balance - $4062.96

Representatives Reports

     No reports.

Since many of us attended meetings this past week for the Fairhaven Highland DEIS and some in attendance wanted to go to the Wastewater Plant meeting tonight, Brad decided to end the meeting early.

Closing

The meeting was adjourned at 7:25pm.

The next Edgemoor Neighborhood Monthly Board Meeting would be held on December 3rd from 7-9pm at the Fairhaven Park Pavilion.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Respectfully Submitted,
