Call to Order (7:00)

 

Speaker (7:02-7:45) : Sarah Slevin of the Whatcom County Dispute Resolution Center will speak on the neighborhood peer mediation program. The View Committee has proposed that the association endorse a mediation mechanism and has asked Sarah to explain the process. There will be time for questions.

View (8:00-8:10) - Paul Stephenson

Proposal that the Association support a mediation mechanism to be used for settling disputes among neighbors.

 

Growth/Land Use (8:10-8:25) - Brad Rose- The following proposals will be presented:

1. Approve the participation of the ENA in a coalition of Southside neighborhoods to work on issues of common concern.

 

2. Support the continued operation of the Fairhaven Library and speak publicly in support of this institution.

 

3. Request the ENA to budget $200.00 for use by the Growth and Land Use Committee for printing and other miscellaneous costs related to the activities of the Committee.

 

4. Request ENA approval to divide the Growth and Land Use Committee into the Original 2 committees that were established at the beginning of the ENA.  These committees are the Growth and Land Use Committee and the Neighborhood Plan Update Committee.

 

5.Request approval to investigate the following issues and bring recommendations for action to the membership:100 Acre Woods (old Chuckanut Ridge development), Briza/Viewcrest Development, Fairhaven Condominium Moratorium and Parking Plan Revision
